The mission of the Houston Health Foundation is to provide a funding stream to support public health projects beyond the normal scope and capacity of city operations. We work with donors, partner organizations and volunteers to help bring valuable health services to the children and families of Houston's most under-served communities.
Robin Mansur is joining the Houston Health Foundation as its first President and CEO.
Prior to her arrival to HHF in October 2016, Robin contributed to the development of the regional health information exchange(HIE) from a fledgling startup to one of the country’s largest and most successful community HIEs. In her role as Chief Marketing Officer for Greater Houston Healthconnect (Healthconnect), she helped the organization to attain adoption by virtually all major health systems in the Texas Medical Center.
A native Houstonian, Robin began her career in the TMC, where she served in some of nation’s leading healthcare institutions. She was Assistant Vice President for Strategy and Market Development at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, leading initiatives in strategic planning, network development, market research, service line management, and the creation of the organization’s first physician management services organization. As Director of Planning for Hermann Hospital’s Affiliated Hospital Systems in the 1980’s, she directed planning and marketing support services for small and rural hospitals.
Robin has worked for healthcare organizations and academic institutions in the Middle East, where she served in a development capacity for the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut and also consulted with hospitals in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Kuwait. She has a Master of Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore.
Benjamin is an executive in public health administration at the City of the Houston Health Department. He serves as the department’s chief administrator with responsibility for a $120 million combined annual budget. He has broad responsibility in the department including management responsibility for the Office of the Director, Office of Performance Management, and the Houston Health Foundation. In addition to these responsibilities, he also serves in an executive staff role to the Director of the department and is responsible representing the Director's interest internally and externally on management, professional, financial or administrative matters.
In his role with the Houston Health Foundation, he is responsible for promoting the signature programs of the Foundation with the community and partners.
Previously, he served as a senior aide in the Houston City Council for five years where he conducted policy work for an elected official. He was responsible for providing weekly guidance on policy positions as well as oversight of public affairs functions. Benjamin holds a Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
Cydney Cameron is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Houston Health Foundation. She is responsible for the recruitment and management of the volunteer program, which includes planning, organizing and directing the volunteer programs.
Prior to the Foundation, Cydney was the Community Outreach Coordinator for 6 years at another local non-profit where she grew the volunteer database from 500 to over 2000. She worked on alll special events and was responsible for publications, building awareness of the mission through social media and other web base sites.
Cydney is currently the Vice President of the Houston Association of Volunteer Administrators and serves on the Medical Center Advisory Council.
Lupe is a Senior Financial Analyst with the public health administration at the Houston Health Department and is responsible for a $26 million annual budget. He prepares and coordinates the Department’s budget, formulates economic projections and analyzes statistical data that factors into budgetary and financial resource allocation.
In his role with the Foundation, Lupe provides oversight and management over the foundation’s financial activities.
Prior to working for the City of Houston, he worked for the Bank of New York Mellon where he functioned as a Financial Analyst on investment trades and security trust. Lupe has a BBA from the University of Houston and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University.
Jenny Lai is a nonprofit and certified fundraising executive specializing in cross sector partnerships, strategic planning, growth strategies and developing campaigns to meet business objectives and philanthropic goals. She is a National Urban Fellow working with the Houston Health Foundation and Houston Health Department to identify growth strategies and build upon existing programs and relationships.
Jenny co-founded a foundation representing the computer and video game industry and has raised over $20 million through events and campaigns. She holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Corporate Communications and is a Masters of Public Administration candidate (2017).
